Sports Marketing, Entertainment & Licensing startup Baseline Ventures on Tuesday said it has inked a deal with Confident Group to sponsor Sri Lanka’s Men’s and Women’s cricket team for the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016.
According to a statement, Confident Group, a multinational lifestyle firm, will be the Sri Lanka team sponsor for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 India 2016. It will be the Main Team sponsor for both the Men’s & Women’s cricket team. Sri Lanka’s Men’s cricket team is the No.1 ranked T20 Team and is the defending champion of the ICC World Twenty20 Title.
Baseline Ventures has facilitated this deal that will see the Confident Group sponsored Sri Lankan team participate in the ICC World Twenty20 that commences on March 11, 2016 with the finals to be played on April 3, 2016.

For Baseline this is another significant milestone this year after it partnered with Dubai-based sports and events management company PESCO to launch Liverpool Football Club’s first full-time coaching programme in the United Arab Emirates. Earlier this year Baseline had raised $4-5 million from a US-based venture capital firm. The startup was launched by Tuhin Mishra, Vipin Nair, R Ramakrishnan, and Vishal Jaison.
